Our biggest female founder event yet. 120 attendees, 6 founders on stage, and more than a few investment conversations started in the corridor.
Female Founders 2.0 was, by every measure, the most successful female-focused event the Crown Islands has seen. 120 people in the room at Dune. Six founders on stage. A waiting list we had to cut off at 150.
The founders who took the stage
From a healthcare AI company solving diagnostic backlogs in Jersey's hospital system, to a Guernsey-based sustainability consultancy that just landed its first FTSE 250 client — the quality was exceptional.
Jayne Tugwell (CI Airlines) spoke about building a business that requires regulatory navigation across three jurisdictions. Her observation that "the Crown Islands' fragmented governance is both a moat and a prison" sparked a 20-minute discussion still being had in our member WhatsApp groups.
What investors said afterwards
We surveyed the 34 investors in the room. 22 said they started a meaningful conversation with a founder. 8 intended to follow up formally. Two term sheets were issued within 10 days.
What's next
For Female Founders 3.0, we're extending the format to include a pre-event dinner for the six stage founders and up to 12 selected investors. Mark your calendar: September 2026, back at Dune.
